Built in 1957 with exposed brick, the grandparents’ house in La Guaria is a symbol of family history and community roots. It was the home of Rafael Vásquez and Florentina Rojas, who arrived from Palmares in 1824 with dreams for the future. More than just a house, it was a place of welcome, work, and generosity, where the “Vascada” — an extended family united by values of solidarity and hard work — was formed. Today, the house remains a living testament to memory, love, and legacy.
