The Costa Rica Film Commission is an inter-institutional entity declared National Public Interest for the Cinematographic and Audiovisual Cultural Industry. It was officially created in 2009 and later reformed in 2011.
We operate under a public-private structure coordinated by PROCOMER (Costa Rican Trade and Investment Agency) and, from there, leads the national and international strategy, focusing on investment attraction and international promotion. The Council of the Film Commission is integrated by Centro Costarricense de Cine y Audiovisual, Ministry of Culture and Youth, Ministry of Commerce and National Institute of Tourism and Private Sector.
